Second Chances True stories of living with Addison disease eBook Carol McKay Reviews
If you have or know someone with Addison's disease, this book will help you understand what a person with this condition goes through.
Wonderful read. After learning about the symptoms, treatments, types, etc, it was nice to read the personal side of the disease.
Just a topic that caught my interest. Very good accounts of near tragic life experiences with this disease.
My wife was diagnosed with Addison's a little over a year ago, and this was one of my first purchases in my journey trying to better understand what she is going through, and help her find happiness and joy in her new normal. I appreciated the different stories in the book, from different points of view, and I've recommended this book to all of our family members as well.
It's an easy read and helped me have better compassion for my wife. I'll never truly know how she feels, but this book has helped me have a better understanding.
I have adrenal disease and this book gave me an insight into other Addison Disease patients' and their struggle with getting a correct diagnosis. Reading the accounts of other people help you understand what you are going through trying to handle your disease, and that there are other people with the same symptoms and problems. A must read for anyone with adrenal disease!
Good book and worth the read. But some of the writers like to ramble too much for my tastes. I like to get right to the meat instead of reading a bunch of rambling. But it’s worth the read for AD patients.
If you or someone you love has Addison's disease this book should be on your book shelf. Information on what it is like to live with this condition is about as rare as the disorder itself is. Highly recommend sharing this with friends/family members who may not understand what the addison's sufferer goes through on a daily basis.
My boyfriend suffers daily with dealing with this deadly disease. This book gave me some insight to how other people at different stages and ages of life have learned how to adapt in this stressful world, living with Addison's Disease. I am always looking for new and innovative ways to help him and found this book useful and very educational. We are going to try more homeopathic means using oil diffusers and teas and even some yoga, hopeful these along with his medicines will help reduce his stress and lead a healthier life.
